Introducing the Nano-Magic

Nano-Magic by Sabco

Wow, this has been an exciting couple of weeks here at Sabco. After two years of intense research, design, re-design, testing and biting our tongues until the right moment, we’re finally introducing our 2 bbl RIMS-based system. I have been personally involved with much of the design work on it, particularly the electrical controls and I can proudly say this thing is beautiful.

Of course, we’re following in the footsteps of our flagship product, the Brew-Magic system. We tried to keep all the features and benefits of the Brew-Magic and incorporate them into a much larger version. The Nano-Magic, however, goes far beyond the Brew-Magic and is ideal for a brewpub or nano-brewery environment. A great deal of thought went into how to make a cost-effective brewery that would be sustainable for a start-up operation or a business looking to expand its offering with home-brewed beer or a tap room or something similar.

The craft brewing industry is booming right now but there seems to be a shortage of products in the two barrel range. It’s hard to make the jump from a 1/2 bbl pilot system to a 5 or 10 barrel brew house so we have targeted the large end of the pilot business and the small end of the production brewery business. We believe we have squarely hit this target in the Nano-Magic system. Unprecedented growth is taking place at this very moment and we’re proud to be a small part of it.

“The number of craft brewers has gone from 8 in 1980 to 537 in 1994 to over 1600 in 2010. Craft brewers operate in 344 congressional districts and the majority of Americans live within 10 miles of a brewery. Truly craft brewers and craft beer drinkers are participants in a revolution. There has never been a better time or place to drink beer than in the US right now.” – Brewers Association, History of Craft Brewing

Overview of the Nano-Magic

Our new 2 bbl system is a RIMS brewery (recirculating infusion mash system) just like the Brew-Magic. We utilize soft plumbing for ease of installation and flexibility in placing components. It has a small footprint so you can fit even a turnkey configuration into a fairly small space. All heating is done by steam for efficiency and speed. The entire system utilizes automatic valves for wort flow control. Like the Brew-Magic, the Nano-Magic offers repeatable and dependable results for commercial brewing environments and is designed for the small-to-medium-size brewer. Data logging of recipes goes beyond what’s available on the Brew-Magic and tracks ingredients, mash schedule, boil schedule and can accommodate brewing two batches at one time (starting a second mash while the first boil is taking place).

The Nano-Magic system by Sabco is designed to meet the most rigid requirements of professional brewers in a compact, automated and highly efficient way. It is both attractive and sophisticated. You won’t find hard plumbed inflexibility or difficult cleanup. You will find big-brewery capability, dependable RIMS efficiency and a perfect platform for brewpub, restaurant and nano-brewery use.

Matt has been working with Sabco in various capacities for almost 20 years. He started building electrical control panels for the Brew-Magic in high school, which led to a festive college career. More recently, he wrote the MagicSoft software used in the current system. Over the past 15 years, has refined his brewing skills on his very own Brew-Magic. And he married a woman who absolutely loves beer, which helps. If you'd like to learn more about owning a system, give Matt a call at 419-777-5316 or email him at forum on Facebook.
